I still remember the rush of October 15, 2025. The Once Human servers went down for maintenance at 4:00 PM PT, and I had already cleared my evening. The update was hefty—4.63 GB on PC launchers, 2.9 GB on the PC client, 343 MB on Android, and 328 MB on iOS. I made sure to download over Wi-Fi, grabbed a snack, and waited. Two hours later, I was back in the game, and the first thing I did was claim my rewards:

Reward Amount
Starchrom 1,000
Mitsuko's Mark 100
Starwish Token 300
Cosmetic Token 180
Detoxident 3

Nice little welcome back. 🎁

But the real excitement was the new content. Version 2.1.5 brought underwater combat to RaidZone mode, and I couldn't wait to try it. I crafted the new Fine Dagger (Common) and Military Dagger (Rare) at the workbench—both usable underwater. The Memetics were easy to find, right below the Wrench and Camping Knife. Suddenly, those underwater structures and enemies didn't seem so intimidating. I packed grenades, explosives, and medicine, and dove in. The combat felt fluid, and I loved that I could finally fight back instead of just swimming away.

The devs also teased more underwater weapons in the future, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a harpoon gun. 🤞

Next, I tackled the territory construction system. I've always enjoyed building, but some snap points drove me crazy. The update addressed many of my pain points. For example, when snapping columns to foundations or ceilings, the number of snap points increased from 4 to 9. That means more columns, more creative freedom. Inverted versions of the Left Fan Wall, Right Fan Wall, Left Crescent Wall, and Right Crescent Wall were added—and the corresponding cosmetics are now part of the basic Territory Bundle. I spent a good hour just experimenting with triangle walls snapping to inverted triangle walls to form squares. The collision detection between structures was relaxed, allowing a reasonable amount of interlocking. And trees no longer block structure placement! That alone saved me so much frustration. 🌳

The Bug Hunt event also caught my attention. Running from October 15 to November 15, 2025, it's a four-week event with weekly cycles. I'm not a big bug reporter, but the idea of a bug bounty leaderboard with special rewards every week is tempting. Points are simple: 1 point for a valid bug, 2 points if it's a high-score bounty mission. Rewards are distributed by ranking. I submitted a minor UI glitch and got my first point—felt good to contribute. 🐛

Then came the Battle Pass: Heartbeat Rush. The fashion set is epic, and the Groove Tide crossbow skin is a must-have. I bought the Luxurious Edition, which instantly bumped me to Lv. 15 and gave me the Dream Launcher territory collectible (interact to throw paper planes—so fun), the Bunny Burrow Cradle skin, and an avatar frame. The Urban Rebel furniture formulas are a nice touch for my base.

Of course, I couldn't resist the Lightforge Loot Crate: Scorching Craving. The Heartbound Vow fashion set is legendary, and the Pristine Feast Cradle skin is gorgeous. But the Ethereal Plush Sofa furniture formula—an interactive piece that levitates when you sit on it—is my favorite. It's the perfect mix of weird and wonderful.

Halloween was a blast. From October 23 to November 3, Halloween-themed cosmetics were on discount. I grabbed the Whimsical Fright theme pack and the Eternal Night Craze furniture pack, which includes interactive dance floor components that light up when stepped on. My friends and I had a dance-off in my base. The Noir Legacy weapon skins for SKS, PDW90, and SOCR gave my guns a stylish edge. And the Spectral Mirage set? Little ghosts running wild—perfect for the season. 🎃

Beyond cosmetics, the update brought quality-of-life changes. The ammo switch interface became a function wheel—much easier. I customized my C key shortcut, and the new pin wheel for marking targets is a game-changer. I can now mark gatherables, loot crates, enemies, NPCs, or teammates with a middle-click or a tap. The auto-holster weapon setting and jumping melee attack are small but welcome additions.

Crafting costs for Epic armor and weapons were reduced, which meant I could finally gear up without grinding for Tungsten Ingots forever. The Armor Workbench now shows which slots a piece will occupy, so no more guesswork.

As I look back, 2.1.5 was a solid update. It expanded underwater combat, refined building, and delivered a ton of cosmetics and events. If you missed it, don't worry—most of the content is still in the game, and the underwater combat is here to stay. I'm already looking forward to what's next. Maybe a harpoon gun? Fingers crossed. 🤞
