I never expected the end of Aberrant Progeny to feel so brief. The shadow is still fading when the next omen splits the sky above Nalcott. The Visional Wheel has turned once more, and Season 4 is called Gravity Abyss. As a Meta who has watched too many strange skies, I cannot help but wonder: how do you survive a battlefield where falling is no longer the rule? When gravity bends upward and the Riftwalker warps the physical laws behind it, every old habit becomes a liability.

This new Vision begins after the May 27(PT) maintenance update and runs until the ending time is announced. The affected scenarios are Manibus (excluding novice), Evolution's Call, Prismverse's Clash, The Way of Winter, Endless Dream, and Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve. After the update, servers with Visional tags will automatically switch to S4 [Gravity Abyss], concluding the [Aberrant Progeny] Vision. Related special items will no longer be produced, so anything left from the previous season is now a memory.

Gravitational Imbalance and Stronghold Loot

When the Vision begins, the inverted star emerges once more. I always watch for that sign, because it marks areas where the Gravity Imbalance effect will envelop certain Stronghold regions. These locations can be checked through map pins. Exploring them gives me a chance to obtain Mods, Gravity Crystals, and other rewards. The map becomes my most important tool, and the ground stops being reliable.

Riftwalker Relics: Temptation and Danger

After the Vision begins, the Riftwalker soars over the wilderness and scatters mysterious artifacts from the sky: Echoite Broken Relics and Riftwalker Relics. Their drop locations appear on the map, and Metas rush to contest them. I always hesitate for a second. Do I chase the relic as it rises, or do I clear the elite enemies first? Riftwalker Relics offer substantial rewards, but they also present greater challenges. Whenever a Meta approaches one, elite enemies are summoned, and the relic begins to slowly ascend. Only by defeating those enemies does the ascent stop. The rewards are worth the risk: Mods, Morphed Deviations, and Abyssal Cores.

The Riftwalker's Aerial Hunt

Fifteen minutes after the Vision begins, the Riftwalker traverses Nalcott and appears above three random Settlements at the same time. The failed airship platform that once attempted to secure it will manifest above those Settlements. My squad can enter the platform for combat through the summoned portal, or we can teleport directly by clicking the pins on the map. Strategy matters here, because the Riftwalker has multiple combat forms and demands close coordination. Successfully overcoming its trial grants even rarer rewards.

Formulas, Floating Bases, and Weightless Utility

S4 introduces new ways to move and build around the distortion:

  • Gravity Integrator Formula - obtainable through this game mode. It unlocks the Gravity Integrator challenge, and the higher the Gravity Integrator ascends, the richer the rewards become.

  • Anti-Gravity Foundation Formula - found in the wilderness. After learning it, I can initiate Floating Building, which consumes Gravity Crystals.

  • Energy Raiser Formula - obtained through wilderness exploration. After crafting it at the Supplies Workbench, it grants Weightless ability in non-weightless regions. It only functions during the Vision's active period.

Abyssal Cores, Resonance, and Redemption

The Abyssal Core is a rare crystallization of the Riftwalker. I can earn it from Riftwalker Relic and Aerial Hunt Game Modes. Cores are divided into three rarity tiers: Epic, Legendary, and Mythic.

Rarity Opening Potential
Epic Standard rewards with a chance of rare items
Legendary Better odds for valuable drops
Mythic Rarest pool, including Shiny Mods, Abyssal Essence, and high-level Morphed Deviations

Cores can be freely traded among players, so there is a market aspect I need to watch. I can also consume Gravity Crystals to perform different levels of resonance. Deeper resonance has a chance to grant double rewards. Whether I choose steady gain or take a bold gamble is entirely my call.

Abyssal Essence is an exclusive item with a chance to drop from opening Abyssal Cores. Collecting it allows me to visit the Event - Visional Redemption - Redeem Shop and cash in for precious rewards such as Lightforge Ingots, selected Shop Fashion/Furniture/Weapon Skins, Shiny Mods, and top-tier Deviations.

New and Returning Morphs and Mods

In S4 [Gravity Abyss], all Morphed Deviations and Mods from Visional Wheel S1 return. This season also brings three brand new Morphed Deviations:

  • Digby Boy - Gravity Abyss

  • Atomic Lighter - Gravity Abyss

  • Zapamander - Gravity Abyss

The Starfall Inversion Deviations from S1 also return together, obtainable through various Game Modes. On the Mod side, S4 introduces the new Aero Suffix Mod, while the Downstar Mod returns. Downstar provides a strong advantage when fighting across elevation differences. Aero can be activated in any aerial state, including jumping, offering superior flexibility and stability. When acquired, Metas can select the one that suits their needs.

This Vision campaign also releases Armor Shiny Mods for the first time, obtainable through the Abyssal Core. That alone gives me another reason to push into high-rarity gambling.

Event Interface and Objectives

The Event Interface - Visional Wheel page is where I track everything:

  • Gravity Abyss - learn the basic rules for this Vision.

  • Abyssal Collection - collect Gravity Crystals to earn Progress and obtain rare Territory Collectibles.

  • Vision Collection - collect all Visional Suffix Mods and Morphed Deviations to obtain rewards like Weapon Skins.

Vision and Basic Worlds

Alongside the update, the developers are addressing the Vision layering issue frequently reported by players. After the update, servers will no longer be distinguished as Vision or non-Vision Servers. Each server will contain both a Vision World and a Basic World, except for the Prismverse's Clash Scenario. That means I can freely choose whether to participate in Vision Events. It is a welcome change for anyone who wants to gather in peace before hurling themselves into a weightless warzone.

As the Visional Wheel spins once more, the real question is not whether I will enter the Riftwalker's gravity shadow. It is whether I can climb high enough to claim Mythic cores, Armor Shiny Mods, and those strange new Morphed Deviations before the season moves on. The ground below me no longer offers safety—so I might as well aim for the sky.
